Each cold-pressed juice included in the cleanse has been designed and selected to detoxify, feed and hydrate the body. In order to make your entire cleanse process an enjoyable one we have accumulated some helpful tips for PRE and POST cleanse preparation.

While it may seem obvious that you will not indulge in toxic foods during your cleanse period, in order to reap the full benefits of juicing it is crucial to abstain from processed and fried food prior and post cleanse as well.  The time leading up to and following your cleanse are also very influential in the bodies cleansing process. We want you to make the most of your cleansing experience therefore we have provided you with some tips on how to prepare your body for pre and post cleanse.

Preparation is crucial in order to get the most out of your cleanse. A few dietary adjustments prior to your cleanse will go along way in reaping the best results; you will want to start limiting yourself from typical indulgences a few days before the start of your cleanse day. A juice cleanse is going to be a significant change from your regular eating habits, however by making a few minor adjustments leading up to your cleanse day can be beneficial for the cleansing process and lessen the shock to your body.  

Leading up to your juice cleanse, we suggest eliminating/ limiting consumption of dairy products, grains, sugars and alcohol from your diet. During the 1-2 days leading up to the cleanse period your diet should consist largely of fruits, vegetables and fish or soy protein at meal periods.  It is also beneficial to the cleansing process to limit the consumption of red meat and chicken in the time leading up to the start of the cleanse. The day before you start the cleanse consuming food such as soups, and steamed or raw vegetables is a great way to prepare the body for your upcoming liquid diet.

Additionally staying hydrated during your cleanse is a crucial element of a having successful cleanse.  Without proper hydration the body cannot effectively remove toxins from its cells, therefore it is crucial that to ensure the elimination of toxins we recommend you consume at least 8 of cups water per day.

Once you’ve started you juice cleanse here are some tips to keep in mind in order to reap the full benefits of juicing:

  • Ensure you drink ample amounts of water daily; at least 8 glasses per day.
  • Allow yourself plenty of rest.
  • Continue to exercise but switch out your regular routine for a light walk or work out. Exercise aids in key detoxification processes in the body; a light exercise each day will stimulate circulation, lymphatic flow and cause you to sweat all which remove toxins from the body.  Each individual is different, listen to your body and do not over exert yourself.
  • Skip soda and caffeinated drinks, instead treat yourself to a warm cup of non-caffeinated herbal tea.

Once your cleanse is complete; now what? Staying on track post cleanse is crucial for you to continue to reap the benefits of your cleanse. In order to maximize its effectiveness, gently reintroducing whole foods into your diet is the best way to go. The days after your cleanse incorporate a combination of solid and liquid nutrition into your menu plan. We recommend your diet consist largely of fruits and vegetables; start with softer produce that is easier to digest, such as bananas and berries. You may consider steaming your vegetables or cooking fruit so that is easier on the digestive system.
